Grok plans by price
- FreeGrokFree

US prices a month before tax; one subscription covers Grok, X and Cursor.
Is Grok free?
Yes. The free plan gives you limited chat requests, limited agent requests and limited image generation with Grok Imagine, plus the basics on X: posting, replying and following. Grok’s pricing page doesn’t put a number on the limits.
Which Grok plan to pick
Grok’s own advice: Premium for people new to AI, Super for daily users of its agents, and Ultra for power users. Plus is meant for social creators with limited AI use. Teams is for professionals working together; Enterprise is for larger organizations that need invoicing, pooled usage or advanced security.
In practice, Plus at $8 is the cheapest way to get Grok’s chat, voice and image tools, but video generation and the latest Grok models start at Premium.
How Grok’s usage limits work
- One pool for everything. Each plan has a pool of AI usage shared across Grok (chat, Imagine, voice and Grok Bot) and Cursor. Different products use it at different rates.
- Weekly refresh. The allowance refreshes every week, so one heavy day doesn’t use up your month. When you run out, you can buy top-ups or wait.
- The API is separate. Paid plans include access to the Grok API, but API calls are billed at the standard per-token rates and don’t come out of your pool. See Grok API pricing.
- Other companies’ models cost extra. In Cursor, non-Grok models are billed at their API list prices; see Cursor pricing.
Grok Imagine: images and video
Image generation with Grok Imagine is limited on the free plan and included from Plus. Video generation starts at Premium ($30 a month). Through the API, Grok Imagine images cost $0.02 to $0.05 each and video $0.02 to $0.08 a second. Compare with other image tools in the best AI image generators.
