Cursor pricing

Cursor, the AI code editor, is now sold as part of The X Subscription: one subscription for Grok, Cursor and X. Plans run from free to $200 a month. Each paid plan includes a weekly pool of usage for Cursor’s own models. Claude, GPT and Gemini cost extra, at the companies’ API list prices.

Checked October 14, 2026 against Cursor’s pricing page and Models & Pricing docs. Prices exclude tax.

What each plan includes

Cursor recommends Premium for people new to AI agents, Super for daily agent users and Ultra for heavy users running several agents. The paid plans also include X features, such as fewer ads. People who already pay for older Cursor plans (Hobby, Pro, Pro+, Ultra, Start, Teams Standard and Premium) keep them, with two monthly usage pools and on-demand usage.

How the usage pool works

Each paid plan comes with one pool of usage, shared by everything on the subscription: Agent in the editor, the command line, Cloud Agents, Grok Bot and the Grok apps. The pool refreshes every week, so one heavy day can’t use up a whole month. Different models draw from it at different rates. When it runs out, you can wait for the reset or buy top-ups at these rates:

Grok 4.7$2$0.50$6

Third-party models aren’t in the pool. On Premium and above they bill at the model’s API list price from the first request, paid from prepaid credit, and you can set spending caps. Teams and Enterprise also pay a Cursor Token Rate of $0.25 per million tokens on third-party requests. Choosing to keep data in one region adds 10% to model prices on eligible models.

Buying Cursor

Cursor says subscriptions are sold only directly, through X Subscription Corp, and that accounts bought from resellers may be suspended. Self-serve plans take credit and debit cards; Enterprise can pay by invoice.
